CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are ready for what is going to be a touching episode for long time fans of the show as Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) will be honored by his children.
It’s been rumored that this will be the culmination of his storyline as Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) have gone all out to give him a proper memorial.
We expect it to be one of the best we’ve ever seen, and considering it’s from a show that tries to create nothing but perfect moments that’s saying something.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 28: Like the Gala
‘Young and the Restless’ think this will be similar to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)’s 50th anniversary Gala last year that celebrated the character and the actor.
We’ll probably see plenty of flashbacks to when Neil met Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) and may even get lucky enough to have her pop in for a guest spot.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 28: Neil Winters’ Memorial Celebration; Ashland Reclaims Harrison
Kristoff St. John was taken from us way too soon, and we think it’d be for the best if they bring in as many of Neil’s family members as possible to pay homage to the character.
It just feels right as we celebrate both their lives and what they’ve given us onscreen and off.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 28: Ashland makes his move
While the memorial is going on, we have full confidence that something big is going to happen, and we think it’s going to involve Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) taking his son back. Or at least trying to.
It feels right given he’s there for us to hate, and what better way than to have him pull something like that when most, if not all, of Genoa City is at the memorial?
It’ll also go a long way in helping that storyline continue to move forward.
Of course, it doesn’t have to happen in this episode as the threat of it would be enough.
A simple thing like someone watching the Abbott house from outside will be enough to give us the sense of impending danger and get us looking forward to next week starting with them learning Harrison’s gone.
In the end, we’ll hate Ashland more like we’re supposed to, and Neil’s memorial will have the great feeling it’s meant to.
Just like Victor Newman’s Gala when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was stabbed with the magically growing knife after the celebration episode.
