’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers ask: Was anyone else slightly alarmed by the traditional Ethiopian spa that Ariela visited? Obviously, if you grew up in Ethiopia there’s nothing to be afraid of there and you’re probably used to it.
However for someone who’s from the states and are not really familiar with how beauty treatment is done in Ethiopia the practice looked alarming. However the ingredients weren’t all that threatening.

Apparently they put butter in the hair, I’m guessing as sort of a leave-in conditioner (Interesting, would have never thought to use that… but hey if Big Ed can use mayo.), and then with a mixture of coffee and honey they exfoliate the face – okay that one makes sense because there’s a coffee scrub by L’oreal that looks remarkably similar.

But then came the thing that was most alarming and that was the thing that blew smoke into the lady bits. Wish said that it was to ‘tighten the cervix’, okay, we see you, trying to be Gwyneth Paltrow. There was a certain steam treatment that the celebrity touted a few years back in Hollywood that was pretty similar, she even said it had health benefits but she never really elaborated on what exactly.
Though honestly looking back that seemed a little too ‘instagram mom fad’ to be real, so I’m not sure if anyone outside the Hollywood Elite took that seriously. Though, there was an at-home kit you could buy on ebay… yes, I’m serious… no, I wish I wasn’t.
Ariela tolerated this treatment and she said it felt good but you could tell that, like the rest of us, it was a bit of a culture shock for her. Poor girl breathed some of the coffee and honey up her nose, which can’t have been pleasant and I’m amazed she didn’t choke to death after that stunt but hey, I’m guessing she caught it in time.
Her relationship with Bini’s sisters is still decidedly strained and I’m amazed that they even included her in a spa day because they were kind of ticked off when she was slightly late. Wish said, “You are not Ethiopian, so you are to be on time.” okay but traffic exists, Wish.
Wish lamented how their relationship is not better and thought that Ariela hated her, since she’s traveling back to America for Avi’s surgery but Ariela assured both his sisters that she didn’t hate them. I don’t think they believed her though. Guess we’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
