Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ was an enormous hit when it released last year. Henry Cavill stars as Geralt of Rivia in great style, and the show takes several monsters from the book series and tells their stories even more, most importantly, the Hirikka, which was only briefly mentioned a few times in the books and went into further detail on the show.
Another ‘The Witcher’ bestiary video was released on the Netflix YouTube channel and goes into great detail about some of the monsters we see on the show and gives us the incredible backstory of several of them. Watch the video below that was uploaded with the following description,
“Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster-hunter for hire, journeys toward his destiny in a turbulent world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. Imagine having to fight off some of these things? Dive deeper into the monsters that haunt and hunt the characters in the world of The Witcher.”

Several fans commented on the video, mostly asking for the second season or at least a trailer. “If we get a Season 2 Trailer at the end of Witchmas I might just cry“, “Season 2 will be the shining light we need for 2021“, “They’re definitely gearing up to drop a Season 2 teaser soon.” and “I definitely want to see more beastly looking lower vampires and Wraiths.“.
Hopefully, it’s true, and Netflix is regaining our attention for ‘The Witcher’ to drop a season two trailer around Christmas this month. We know they’ve been shooting it and, in fact, lead star Henry Cavill was reportedly injured on set.
It’s been said that he’s back on and filming again, thankfully. Let’s hope we start 2021 off right, with the second season of ‘The Witcher’.
