Money Heist has been a huge addition to Netflix and it’s streaming content. Originally, Money Heist’s first season aired on Spanish network Antennas 3 in May 2017. In late 2017, Netflix received its broadcast rights and was available worldwide. Now, fans from all across the world have turned on and enjoyed the thrilling drama about a group of unique robbers assault the Factory of Moneda and Timbre to carry out the most perfect robbery in the history of Spain and take home 2.4 billion euros.
‘Money Heist’ is a Netflix Dream
Not only is it just a great Netflix series, or series in general but on IMDB it is currently listed as “Top Rated TV Show #221“. That is quite the accomplishment from a humble beginning. Money Heist has received numerous awards and nominations. In 2018, it was nominated for a whopping 15 awards, winning over half over them with 8 total wins! Along with the tremendous success, Money Heist is the most-watched non-English show on Netflix to its release.
After the second and third seasons on Netflix, and reaching a worldwide audience, fans have been pining for a fourth season since July of this year when 3 was released. Now it may seem through word of mouth that season 4 is set to release next year, as early as January.
‘Money Heist’ Release Date Slip up?
Netflix has not given an official release date, nor have they released any promo videos or trailers but according to some interviews with the cast they may have let it slip. Creator Alex Pina has said, “The thieves story isn’t over.” This is an obvious nod to the rumors going around that season 3 will indeed not be the last season.
In a recent interview, actor Rodrigo de la Serna (Palermo) confirmed that filming has already wrapped and hinted at the possible January release date. A few of the other of the Money Heist co-stars posted pictures of their characters on social media and hinted that season four will be the last one.
To further fan the flames, on IMDB a fourth season is listed and one episode is shown. No picture is given and the one-sentence summary is just the overall basis of the entire show.
The hype has slowly been building up more over the last month with the possibility of a season 4 release after the new year. Will we be seeing a promo or trailer for season 4 soon?
