Netflix’s ‘Cobra Kai’ season three is right around the corner, and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) needs answers. Lately, he feels as if his life is spinning out of control, and he needs help to find his balance. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have Mr. Miyagi to help him anymore.
In this new season, we will see Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) return to help guide Daniel. In a new exclusive look at season three, Daniel and Kumiko reminisce and she believes she may have a way to help him. Could this be the re-introduction to Chozen (Yuji Okumoto)?

While there’s not much information about the new season yet, one fan seems to have the best theory so far and one that would actually make a lot of sense. Check out what this YouTube commenter had to say,
“My theory: At some point in his life, Miyagi helped Chozen get back on the right path. We all should know from The Next Karate Kid that Daniel and Miyagi lived apart for a while. Miyagi most likely returned to Okinawa to visit and felt some responsibility in helping his old friend, Sato, patch things up with his nephew. Miyagi probably guided Chozen, trained him, and helped him find answers on his path of redemption. If that’s the case, then who else better to help Daniel find answers and balance again? No one would know atonement better than Chozen, and all the wisdom & teachings Miyagi left with him can now be passed on to Daniel! Gosh, it’s actually so obvious now, this has gotta be what this clip is leading to! I’m really excited to see what happens and would be really happy to see Chozen and Daniel find some closure to their past. This was also the perfect way for the writers to brings both Kumiko and Chozen back! What do you guys think?”
This makes a ton of sense, and if Mr. Miyagi isn’t around anymore, maybe Chozen would be the next best thing, and who better to re-introduce the two than Kumiko?
