Netflix’s ‘Army of the Dead’ left a lot of viewers with questions. While the overall film is simple enough, a heist in the middle of a zombie-ridden Las Vegas, director, and writer Zack Snyder also hid in a ton of easter eggs and references that have us clamoring for a sequel.
Everything from aliens, to Area 51, robot zombies, and even time loops were brought up in the zombie film, but what does it all mean? YouTube channel Flicks and the City tried explaining some of these in their new video that was uploaded with the following description,
“From filmmaker Zack Snyder (300, Zack Snyder’s Justice League), ARMY OF THE DEAD takes place following a zombie outbreak that has left Las Vegas in ruins and walled off from the rest of the world. When Scott Ward (Dave Bautista), a displaced Vegas local, a former zombie war hero who’s now flipping burgers on the outskirts of the town he now calls home.”

Viewers commented on the video, “I kinda hoped Dieter would’ve survived with Vanderohe. I mean, there’s some buddy-chemistry growing between them through the story.”, “The dude who refused to go with them was the most smartest man in the movie”, “If there is a chance of a time-loop, it’ll be interesting to see who will make the ultimate sacrifice to end the loop for good.” and “Crazy he didn’t get radiation poisoning and how close the nuke hit Vegas and he was able to walk through a nuke filled city”.
