Based on Dennis Liu’s comic book series, Raising Dion is an Original superhero-drama series of the streaming giant. In 2015, Raising Dion was adapted into a short film and became so popular online. A few years later, Netflix ordered the story. Dennis Liu was involved in the production of the series. He served as an executive producer and also directed an episode. Raising Dion follows the story of widower who is burdened with hiding her son’s superpowers. She had to protect him from being exploited while the origins of the power and her husband’s death is under investigation.

Raising Dion was loved by its viewers when its first season hit Netflix, and they can’t wait for more. Now, Netflix has finally announced that the superhero series would be back for a second season. As a matter of fact, this is the franchise’s first official renewal of 2020.
