Netflix ‘Bridgerton’ spoilers find that star Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne Bridgerton) is setting the record straight about a few things about her off-screen relationship with her co-star Rege-Jean Page (Simon Bassett), as there has been a lot of speculation about just how close they really are. Here’s what you need to know.
In a new interview with You Magazine, Phoebe made it clear that she keeps things strictly professional between her and her co-stars and that she doesn’t plan on changing that anytime soon, either.

Phoebe told the publication, “I’d love to say there was really something between us. But no, it has always been strictly professional. There was so much pressure on us to get it right that it was all about the work. We have a really professional working relationship.”
She added, “I’m glad for that, actually. It would be very complicated if it went further. I always hear about people falling in love with their costars. It’s yet to happen to me, but I’m intrigued.”
With that said, Phoebe also said that not much has changed in her life, despite the fact that Bridgerton has managed to make her a household name on both sides of the pond, if not also around the world thanks to the massive success of the Netflix series. While she is certainly busy with work, the 25-year-old actress says that she had to move back with her parents in their home in Manchester during the start of the lockdown. She said, “I’m still at home arguing with my brother about the washing-up and doing jigsaw puzzles with my dad. It’s very surreal because I know something’s going on but I can’t really see it.’
In the same interview, Phoebe also hinted that when she and her co-star Rege-Jean are together for those hot and steamy scenes, they really aren’t together. That’s because they use yoga balls to create a little space between them for an extra barrier.
She explained, “They go in between you. So when you’re together, you’re not actually together – there’s a yoga ball between you.’ How big are these balls? ‘They have numerous sizes depending on the angle or whatever! When you’re not really naked and there are so many things in between you, that makes for a way more comfortable experience.’ And everything is choreographed. ‘You know exactly where he’s going to put his hand, at what point. There are no surprises.”
