NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers say that there’s still plenty of ‘Sonny Days’ ahead. In other words, we will be seeing much more of Sonny Kiriakis in the coming weeks – if not months – according to the character’s portrayer. Here’s what you need to know.

Freddie Smith, who plays Sonny Kiriakis on the hit NBC soap, offered this on his Twitter account, “I remember shooting today’s Days scenes and got me thinking about how many episodes Sonny has left to air. I am not 100 percent sure but looking through my emails, it looks like 36 more episodes between now and sometime in September! So, you got more Sonny Days ahead.”

I don’t alway watch myself on Days, but every now and then I check in and today’s episode I remember vividly. It’s was @therealcmassey Bday and had just come down with a cold and was trying so hard to keep my energy up for the scenes. Overall though, I think I pulled it off! What did you think?

Of course, it didn’t take very long for Sonny’s fans to comment on his post. Quite a few of them said, “I’m very disappointed and angry that Will/Chandler and Sonny/Freddie are leaving. Their status as the best gay couple on the soaps ever, IMO, and maybe even on network tv, is too important,” along with, “I’m not so sure we need Sonny. I can make a case for Will because they saddled him with a child and a marriage at a very young age, so there’s storyline potential for a character who realizes he doesn’t want that stuff right now/ But Sonny… I don’t see any potential for a character that’s so judgmental and acts older than Doug and Julie.”

Another fan has this to say, “I really enjoyed Will and Sonny’s relationship up until the marriage (although I thought they were too young to get married after Will basically had one short fling and then literally settled down with Sonny). And I liked that Will later cheated on Sonny because that seemed more realistic to me – although I wasn’t a fan of Guy as Will. I liked when Will came back that he chose Paul. But at the end of the day, Will and Sonny always get back together.”
