NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal the writers are really making viewers squirm. Especially those who love #Cin. In the Monday, March 2nd episode, we saw the beginning of the execution of Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). While they’re doing great at the evil writer thing, we think they might be taking things a bit too far. Here’s what you need to know.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What went down
On Monday, it looked bad. Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) was nowhere to be seen as Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) gathered to support Ben during his last moments. But just as they were about to begin the proceedings, Ciara burst in the observation area and blurted out the whole story to the Warden. It seemed like the perfect timing, but ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate the writers have so much more coming. And we’re not sure we like it. Here’s why.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: For the sake of drama
We personally have a bit of an issue with how this is playing out right now. First off, we can almost see Ciara running in without a fax/email/etc. of the DNA results. She was in such a panic, and had so little time to work with, we can forgive that lapse. Although, we really do think she should have challenged the Warden to speak with the FBI agent who gave Ciara the news to start with. That would have been much more compelling. But there’s something even worse.
We get the impression they’re purposefully writing this Warden to be unreasonable, almost blood thirsty. Despite Ciara running in with more than enough reason to question the situation, he didn’t. He just kept repeating the time for this evidence was in court, he lost three appeals, this execution was scheduled and it will happen. Blah, blah, blah. We really couldn’t believe what we were seeing. How does that not at least warrant a call or two to double-check? We’re talking about an action that can’t be reversed. But even worse is the Governor.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Not a chance
If Marlena hadn’t jumped in and called Abe Carver (James Reynolds) when she did, the Warden would’ve already killed Ben by now. Unfortunately, that didn’t even work. Despite Abe’s passionate plea, according to the Governor, the execution will go on as scheduled. Seriously? We can’t imagine Marlena didn’t tell Abe all the new evidence, so the fact this guy didn’t find that enough reason to at least delay things for a short time is troubling. We can’t decide whether the writers are, again, just going for optimum drama, or if they’re making another political statement. But they’re doing it in a way that’s not ringing true to us, and we hope they’ll get this story on track soon. It’s just too unbelievable to us that this new information isn’t making an impact.
