NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers indicate that it’s going to be a very eventful summer in Salem. That’s because there are going to be four couples preparing to tie the knot along with one unexpected death. In other words, the soap is ripping out a page from the ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ playbook and quite honestly, fans aren’t minding it one bit! Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, ‘Days of Our Lives’ head writer Ron Carlivati offers this, “We were looking at the canvas and realized we had all these couples who were in a solid place that probably should be getting married, or at least contemplating getting married. It was a little overwhelming because we were like, ‘Well, which wedding or proposal should we be focusing on? And, ‘How are we going to space these out?’”

The head scribe and executive producer also said that while timing is everything, fans can expect to see things progress very fast as Salem goes from one ceremony to another.

Carlivati added, “We didn’t want to have one wedding on top of the other. And then we were like, ‘Well, why not?’ So we came up with the idea of four weddings and a funeral. Once a week in July, you will have a wedding and it will kind of culminate in this funeral, as well.”
Now, as far as who is going to be having the smooth wedding ceremonies and who is going to be having the chaotic ones, we can definitely take our guesses. Either way, we will have our RSVP in the mail. In the meantime, fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to ‘Days of Our Lives’ to find out what happens next!
