NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) have built a real friendship since Jake’s arrival. So, it makes sense he’ll want to help Ben after everything he’s been through, and continues to go through. However, he might be doing more harm than good. Let’s take a look at what’s next.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The beginning
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal there was a bit of awkwardness to their meeting. After all, he looked exactly like Ben’s dead former boss. And then there was having to explain the whole necktie killer thing when trying to get a job at the garage with Jake.
And let’s not even get started on the mess Jake’s past created for Ben and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal). However, they managed to get beyond all that and make a great team.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Good intentions gone wrong
Jake seems like a good sort. He’s obviously loyal to people he likes, and even some he’s not so crazy about. After all, he did try to warn a hostile Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) about Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).
Chad choosing not to listen was his problem, but Jake also confronted Gwen about what she was pulling. So, that’s something we’ve liked about him. Unfortunately, it can also be a failing.
Jake is so concerned about his friend and so determined to help, he ended up steering Ben wrong. He’d insisted Ben has to fight for Ciara, which led to Ben stopping by the hospital. He brought a bunch of pictures and other items to try jogging her memory.
Unfortunately, while we think something might have clicked on a subconcious level, her amnesiac mind refused to accept this. She’d even accused Ben of photoshopping that wedding photo.
It seems obvious now that she knows it’s the real deal. However, in her current state, she refuses to accept that she’d marry someone like him. This, plus the hypnosis gone awry made Ben’s situation all the more complicated. So much for that advice, huh? It gets better.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Making it worse?
Jake paid another visit. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal he wanted to check in on his friend and see how things went. When Ben admitted the news was bad, Jake threw a bright idea out there.
He wants Ben to get some of that memory serum for Ciara. It sounds like helpful advice on the surface, but putting it into practice? He has to know, especially given how the hypnosis went, that the drug wouldn’t be met with a hearty, “why not?” That leaves one option—getting it into her on the sly.
This is where things will go so wrong. Ben had just walked in Ciara’s room, where she was sleeping after a visit with Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth), when the episode ended. We honestly can’t see this going anywhere but sideways.
It’s almost a given Ciara will wake up and find Ben with a needle in her room. Obviously, that will not help his case, and could get him in big trouble. After all, he is clearly intending to inject her with a non-approved drug without her knowledge.
Salem PD might have something to say about that, as Ciara will obviously scream for help and want him arrested. We’ll see if any of the officers that will likely arrive will go easy on him. Maybe Jake needs to focus more on DiMera and less on advising Ben…
