NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) has had a hard time lately. Between thinking Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) died, fighting to rescue her, then amnesia that left her hating the Necktie Killer, he’s been under a lot of pressure.
And it’s been going on for a long time. Add in some other recent events, and we’re seeing how Ben might be on a dangerous path.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Problems
First, we know Ben is committed to his redemption. He’s genuinely horrified about his past and still hates himself for it. Today’s episode made that obvious. However, even the most well-intentioned person can slip under pressure. And if Ben’s not under pressure, we don’t know what it is.
Recently, Ciara came out of her kidnapping ordeal with no memory of the past few years. While she definitely seemed to struggle with herself as well, Ciara made a choice following that disaster of a regression.
She doesn’t want to remember her past, or how she’d hook up with someone so horrible. She’s gone so far as to leave for South Africa with Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) and sent Ben divorce papers. This led to another tough moment.

Lucky for Ben, he has had some support through this. Namely, Claire Brady (Isabel Durant). She is dealing with a similar pain. Ciara hates her as well because of the lost memories, and the one memory she got back of that time.
Which, of course, was Claire trying to burn her alive in that cabin. Even though Claire wants Ciara to be her friend again, she’s been the more collected one of this pair.
For instance, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate she talked Ben out of kidnapping Ciara from the hospital. She’d warned it would just prove her point and drive her away even more.
She made the same argument when Ben was ready to fly to South Africa. She insisted they need to let her go and hope for the best, because anything else would alarm her. It seems Claire’s a great influence on him in that respect. But will she be enough?
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Losing it?
We already know Ben’s been under a lot of pressure. Which so much going on, we can’t help but wonder what impact that’s having on his mental state and his med regimen.
Recent episodes found him not only plotting that kidnapping, but trying to inject Ciara with that memory serum, as well as showing up a lot to try to make her remember.
On Monday, we saw him hallucinating, basically. While alone with the divorce papers, Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause) made an appearance. She introduced herself as his conscience, then basically called him selfish for ever proposing to Ciara and pulling her into his life.
Besides that, she made it clear he’s a murderer and he cheated by kissing Claire. And she was having none of that, “Claire kissed me” stuff.
This was obviously a manifestation of Ben’s inner state. How he really feels about himself, his feelings for Ciara, and his near moment of weakness with Claire.
It’s got to be a tough reality check from the subconscious, and we wonder if Ben can hold up under that pressure on top of the external stressors in his life. At what point is he going to just give up and maybe go down a dark path because he doesn’t think he deserves any better?
Right now, he’s focused of rescuing Claire. But when that’s over, how far might he fall? If that happens, we see Claire doing whatever she can to get through to Ciara herself, or having someone else do it.
Knowing Ben’s on the verge of disaster could awaken that protective instinct in her that Ben also has for Ciara. Could that be what gets her memory back on track? We’ll see. But in the meantime, we think there’s a lot of rough days ahead for Ben.
