NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) is coming back. There’s no official word on when exactly, but he is definitely coming to Salem. The winter promo showed his character arriving as John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is asking for a sign. Let’s take a look at what might be ahead and how this is perfect.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The return
So, sometime around Christmas, maybe a little sooner, we’ll see Eric back in town. We’re guessing as the possession story is said to reach its climax at Christmas, we assume it won’t be too long. It seems unlikely they’ll bring him back last-second for the end. The scenes with Devil Kristen (Eileen Davidson) show that there will definitely be a little temptation ahead. So, we’re sure his part in this story will take a minute.
Personally, we’re curious to see how Eric will do against the supposed Kristen DiMera. John managed to resist the temptation before him, but Eric’s a broken-hearted man who seemed a bit angry, then self-blaming after Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) night with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) came to light. So, he could be a changed person. We’ll see.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Likely scenario
We’re guessing that word will get back to Eric what’s going on with his mother. This should have him on the first flight back to Salem to save Marlena Evans (Hall) and the town of Salem. After all, this isn’t just family and friends. This is sacred duty, as well. There’s no way he’d turn his back on this situation. We’re sure there will be some complications along the way (like Devil Kristen). However, he should prevail in the end and cast the demon out of Marlena.
We think it’s fitting, and we’re glad Vaughan was able to come back. John was what saved Marlena before, so her son and his stepson would be a fitting choice to end this once and for all. And we love the idea of the younger generation that maybe wasn’t grown enough during the original possession story getting their turn.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: More trouble…
Of course, we see a potential downside for him being in town. That would be Nicole. The pair both threw some horrible things at each other after her betrayal came out. And both ultimately came to realize they each hold blame for how things turned out before going their separate ways. However, it’s easy to take that stance when both will be separated by thousands of miles. What happens when they get face-to-face again? We’re guessing it will be a tough moment.
Also, Nicole’s new relationship with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) should make things awkward. Especially given that Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) is also getting back to Salem soon. Honestly, this is a mess we don’t think even Marlena at her best could sort out. But it should be fun to watch these characters try.
