NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal there’s a huge war potentially ahead for Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey). Let’s take a look at what went down and who we side with. Plus, we’ll look at how this exposes a massive flaw in the Salem PD the writers probably need to address.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The situation

So, Lani helped Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) when she came back to town. Eli discovered this and was very unhappy with what she did. Lani begged him not to say anything, but Eli decided that justice had to be served.

So, he went to the Salem Inn to arrest Kristen. Lani just happened to be dropping off Rachel at the same time. This whole situation is a mess that has Lani feeling betrayed, while Eli feels he did nothing wrong. So, who is right?

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The winner is…

Now, we’ll take a minute to be fair here. Eli is mostly reacting to Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) alleged death. He feels justice never gets served in that town, and it’s time for that to change. Kristen did, after all, try to kill Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). He’s not exactly wrong here.

However, he knew how strongly Lani felt about this situation. She’d asked him to keep a confidence and he broke it, so we do side more with Lani in this situation. Plus, it’s not like the baby swap thing is a secret. They even talked several times about how Kristen was led to believe her child died.

That’s a crime right there. If Eli cares so much about justice and the law, why didn’t he hauling Victor in for kidnapping, fraud, and covering up another crime? The Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) thing isn’t exactly a huge secret in town, either. It seems he’s practicing the same selective justice Lani is. And this exposes a huge problem in the town and the Salem PD.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Too close

If Lani is too close to the situation to be objective, almost everyone is. Apparently, Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) is still DA and she’ll be coming for Kristen. She shouldn’t be anywhere near that case.

Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and most of the Salem PD shouldn’t have been involved in the search for Ciara and the manhunt for Vincent Belman (Michael Teh). At least, not in any official capacity. Everyone’s a walking conflict of interest. And we really can’t solve that issue unless the writers bring in other cops with no family connection (and the budget allows).
