NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal fans of WilSon are in for a bit of a disappointment. At least, partly. In a recent podcast, Freddie Smith (ex-Sonny Kiriakis) spoke about his future and whether or not he’d return to ‘Days of Our Lives’. But a recent announcement makes us wonder if the writers have a backup plan. Let’s take a look at the latest.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: No go
According to a recent episode of the Freddie and Alyssa Show, the actor said his days as Sonny are over. In fact, despite being blindsided by his and Chandler Massey’s (Will Horton) sudden firing, Smith revealed he’d already had plans to leave.
Things just got moved up a bit when the release news hit, as well as the production shutdown that left a lot of the industry in a holding pattern.
According to Smith, the plan was to sign on for one more year before moving to Florida to be close to loved ones, as well as start a family. So, apparently that quick video call with Will was the last time we’ll see Smith in the part. However, a recent announcement makes us wonder if the character—and the love story—is over.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Beyond Salem
Recently, news broke that NBC was planning a limited-run spin-off for ‘Days of Our Lives’. Titled, “Beyond Salem,” the show will follow several characters as they all leave town for their own reasons. However, these characters will find a common goal, according to the show description.
They’ll have to search for stolen jewels that could have “big consequences” back home if they’re not recovered. According to reports, Billie Reed (Lisa Rinna) will also be part of the show. The five-episode series will also reveal some spoilers.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Spoiler alerts!
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate the Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) saga will have a happy ending, as the pair will be on a romantic getaway in the series.
We’ll also see one of the newest residents as Paulina Price (Jackée Harry will vacation with Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), Lani Price (Sal Stower), and Abe Carver (James Reynolds). So, we assume Paulina’s decision to end Price Town will allow a reconciliation.
Also, there’s Chad DiMera. He’ll be visiting old friends in Pheonix. If we’re not mistaken that’s where WilSon relocated to when they decided to leave town. Is it possible we’ll see a recast Sonny? We’ll see.
For now, we’ll be looking forward to learning more about this series in the future. For now, there’s no debut date. All we know is it will be available on Peacock for streaming.
