Dwight Howard says that he is very serious about wanting to work for the WWE and that if the right opportunity came along, he would trade the basketball court for the wrestling ring this year. After interrupting a WWE tryout in Nashville, Howard demonstrated in July that he most definitely possesses the skills to succeed in the squared circle by delivering an epic promo.

Apparently, he doesn’t just plan to make a small appearance and bail, he has made it clear that this wasn’t a one-time thing, saying he really wants to eventually square off against Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley, and the rest of the WWE’s top performers in the near future.

In fact, Dwight said he wouldn’t hesitate to accept the offer to wrestle in the WWE if it was a better one than one an NBA team could make to him.

Dwight said he could be both a hero and a villain in the organization when asked what kind of personality he would have there. Meanwhile, Triple H appears willing to give him the opportunity; in a recent interview, the CCO of WWE said all Dwight would need to do is give him a call to start things off.

Triple H spoke in a recent interview saying, “The ball’s in his court. He came by our tryouts in Nashville, was incredibly entertaining, jumping in promos by himself and then with others — incredibly entertaining. So, when he says, ‘Hey, I want to give this a shot,’ he’s got my phone number. All he’s got to do is call me, and we’ll see what can happen.”We’ve recently seen others make the switch to WWE, including Logan Paul who dazzled in his first appearance alongside The Miz. It would be interesting to see what Dwight Howard could bring to the company.
