Meghan Markle’s As Ever rose wine is now available for sale, and it’s a royal rip-off, according to royal experts, royal fans, customers, and self-professed members of the Sussex Squad.
Meghan Is Selling Her Rose Wine In Bulk Only
The Duchess of Sussex is only selling her wine in bulk for the steep price of $90 for three bottles, for six bottles $159, and for twelve bottles $300.
If you opt to purchase the twelve-bottle package, Meghan promises you will save $0.12, while a twelve-pack saves you $0.17.
Additionally, Meghan’s As Ever apricot spread has been oversold. Her customers are ticked off after being offered refunds instead.
When it’s available for purchase, her apricot spread is a whopping 9$ a jar or $14 when sold in her special “keepsake” packaging.
Some customers who rushed to snatch up Meghan’s spread have been told that their “order cannot be fulfilled.” However, they will receive a free jar once it comes back in stock.
Meghan posted a video on her Instagram account over the weekend of herself picking fresh apricots from the garden.
However, social media users quickly noticed that the fruit she had gathered was riper and a different color compared to the apricots on the tree.
The Sussex Squad hilariously exclaimed that they didn’t care that they didn’t receive the spread. They were apparently just happy to know that the Duchess is “selling out” her As Ever products.
Meghan Is Using The Oldest Marketing Trick In The Book
It’s the oldest marketing trick in the book. Only making a small batch of items available so that it looks like it’s a miraculous achievement when all the items are sold out.
This clever marketing ploy is typically done to add interest to the brand, which is what Meghan is clearly trying to do.
Meghan wouldn’t have these issues if she just stopped trying to make her brand look more successful than it really is and started stocking her literal handful of products correctly.
It’s a stocking issue that can be easily fixed. There is no sustainable business without keeping stock of its products. Meghan doesn’t understand that her goal should be to get her customers attached to her As Ever products.
The scarcity tactic works only once or twice. Not every single time someone goes to buy something of hers. The only companies that can get away with this are luxury brands like Louis Vuitton.
There’s absolutely no rhyme or reason to her As Ever lifestyle brand. There’s no order or organization to it. It’s ridiculous. She’s far more interested in making it look like she’s a success, rather than actually being one.
It’s an illusion she’s simply creating, and it’s fake. She should be more concerned with turning her biggest critics into fans. That would be true success.
Meghan’s Rose Napa Valley Wine Comes From Fairwinds Estate
Meghan’s As Ever brand is an epic train wreck. Not even Meghan’s most devoted fans are receiving their products.
In addition to the spread fiasco, Meghan’s rose wine also apparently “sold out” in 45 minutes. Again, it was a limited seasonal stock.
The wine is a whole other issue. According to the Daily Mail,
“FEMAIL went to purchase a bundle of wine, and weren’t asked for proof of ID. They were only asked to give their birthday.”
Journalist Jane Herz reported.
“The state of NY requires the manufacturer to prove that the customer is over the age of 21 or older and that the alcohol purchased is for personal use only,”
So apparently, anyone can get their hands on a bottle of Meghan’s wine. Meghan’s As Ever wine is made with grapes from Fairwinds Estate in Napa Valley, California.
It’s the same vineyard that produces wines for Barry Manilow and the John Wayne family’s estate. Meghan apparently has a favorite wine. A vibrant, very expensive Italian wine called Tignanello. She named her former blog, “The Tig,” after her preferred vino.
Perhaps Meghan should consider returning to blogging. It’s a job you don’t really have to take seriously. If she’s not going to commit to this brand and put in the real hard work, it isn’t worth her continuing with this charade.
