British Royal Family News find that a lot of people can’t help but wonder what kind of consequences Meghan Markle will face now that she’s thrown her sister-in-law Kate Middleton under the bus.
There’s a new report that suggests the Duchess of Sussex was told the “never” drag Kate Middleton into idle gossip, according to one royal author. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal expert and author Omid Scobie says that Prince William and Kate Middleton have certainly received far more support than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over the years, both at Buckingham Palace and from the British press, too.

Scobie recently told Harper’s Bazaar that Harry and Meghan were tired of having to do everything on their own and not getting the same kind of support that the Cambridges got from the palace.
That is ultimately why they decided to pull the plug on their working relationship with the royal family back in January of 2020.
At the time, Prince Harry was supposedly forced to co-sign a statement against an offensive newspaper that suggested Prince William had bullied the Sussexes before their departure.
“Well, if we’re just throwing any statement out there now, then perhaps KP can finally set the record straight about me [not making Kate cry],” Markle, 39, allegedly emailed a palace aide.
Unfortunately, Meghan’s request was ignored.
“The Duchess of Sussex [Meghan] was told, should never be dragged into idle gossip,” Scobie said.
According to Scobie, Meghan Markle had long urged palace aides to set the record straight as the rumor was escalated by the British press. She was constantly told it wouldn’t be possible.
“What was hard to get over was being blamed for something that not only I didn’t do but that happened to me,” Meghan told Oprah during their interview. “Everyone in the institution knew it wasn’t true…. I’m not sharing that piece about Kate in any way to be disparaging to her. I think it’s really important for people to understand the truth. … She’s a good person. And I think so much of what I have seen play out is this idea of polarity, where if you love me, you don’t have to hate her. And if you love her, you don’t need to hate me.”
