British Royal Family News find that Meghan Markle has got very open about how her relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, is all but over. The two have been estranged for some time, but the latest revelation has reaffirmed what we already knew.
British Royal Family News: Meghan Markle And Her Father Are Over
In an interview with CBS, Meghan spoke on just how much anxiety it has been causing her. After all, it is her father, regardless of what may have happened. She said: “I grieve a lot. I mean, I’ve lost my father. I lost a baby. I nearly lost my name. I mean, there’s the loss of identity. But I’m still standing, and my hope for people in the takeaway from this is to know that there’s another side.”
So, where did all the troubles start from? Well, it emerged that Thomas had decided to skip Meghan’s wedding in an attempt to express his strong disapproval of the Royals. He felt that his daughter had joined a ‘cult’ and wanted nothing to do with her. And yet, when Meghan left the Royals, Thomas was more sympathetic to them.
Added to that, Meghan has also received criticism from another family member, her half-sister Samantha Markle. She has criticised Meghan for not living up to her duties and ,instead, being selfish by not fully understanding her role. In an interview with Inside Edition, she revealed: “I think what is shocking is the lack of consideration for the people involved.
“The British royal family, the promises that were originally made to honour royal duties and to lead by example. They stepped into the spotlight, knowing what the duties were, knowing what the media would be like for them. If she wanted to be so private, she wouldn’t have sat at Wimbledon with 40 empty seats around her.”
With Meghan not facing a shortage of enemies, it is no wonder she needed to take a step back. With attacks from inside the Royals, and those much closer to home, she will need all the support from Prince Harry that she can get. Just as well, they both moved abroad. And with that, we are unlikely to see the couple returning to the UK anytime soon.
