Pearl, for her part, is one of the two daughters that the rock star had. And given that he had taken her in after making the decision to adopt her, it is understandable that the pair had a very close bond.
As such, now that he is no longer here, his death has left a huge void in her life. But that has not stopped her from remembering the man that was there for her during his lifetime.
In an official statement she remarked: “I love you always, no matter what. I love you with my whole heart. We got you. Forever.”
But it was not just his family that has been left in mourning. It is not surprising to hear that Meat Loaf had a huge fan base around the globe.
Although it is true to say that his personality did often get on the wrong side of people, as demonstrated by his bust up with none other than Prince Andrew on the grounds that he had allegedly flirted with his then wife Sarah Ferguson, he did have many more supporters than detractors.
In a statement given on behalf of Meat Loaf, a representative stated: “Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight.
“We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief.”
The response on social media to Pearl’s words was very much echoed in the comments. A large proportion of people stated that they could only imagine what she would be going through.
And given that the pandemic has disrupted the lives of so many families across the globe, Pearl will need the support of everyone that she can get.
One person on Twitter wrote: “Wow! We are not even out of January. Condolences to his family and friends and fans. What a great voice!” Let us hope that, with time, Pearl is able to get through all of this.
