Matthew McConaughey, the Oscar Award-winning actor could be heading for a new career in politics very soon. In an appearance on ‘The Balanced Voice’ podcast, host Rania Mankarious said that a lot of Texans would be very happy to have McConaughey as their governor.
The actor replied with an informative, yet short response,
“It’s a true consideration.”

McConaughey has discussed the possibility of running for office before, in fact, in November he hinted that he would consider it if the people were behind it. Then, he was on ‘The Hugh Hewitt Show’ when he explained,
“I would say this. Look, politics seems to be a broken business to me right now. And when politics redefines its purpose, I could be a hell of a lot more interested.”
McConaughey would be an interesting choice, as he would work towards policies that both Democrats and Republicans could rally behind, saying he’d want to back personal values to bring Americans back together again.
This isn’t the only big thing that the actor has considered doing, as he’s a huge wrestling fan and would love to step into the WWE ring. In an episode of ‘The Graham Norton Show’, he sat next to John Cena, whom he discussed wrestling with back and forth and his love for it.
