The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial has once again opened up more ways for people to make money.
Man Sells Courtroom Notes From Depp V Heard Trial For $14,969-‘Making Money Out Of Johnny’s Trauma? That’s Sick’
In the initial aftermath of the case, people began to sell the wristbands that were worn in order to attend court. And as part of that process, some wristbands were alleged to have been placed on eBay with a price of $850.
Much in the same way, one person Larry Forman who had attended the court decided to make some notes about the reaction of the jury. And given that the jury were not televised on screen, that will give the buyer an insight into what they must have been feeling while they were listening to the evidence.
In the pictures here, we can see that Larry attended court with a diary with lots of notes about how the jury were reacting. Now that the auction has come to an end, the notes ended up selling for $14,969.
Despite getting a handsome amount of money, it was never Larry ‘s intention to make this a get-quick-rich scheme. In fact, he simply ended up benefiting from something that was intended to be for his own personal use.
And given he had put the time and effort in to go there, as well as document what he had seen, he won’t be complaining too much. According to TMZ, this is what Larry had to say: “He took a trip from Kentucky to the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia to sit in on the trial.
“And [he] decided to jot down his thoughts and observations … just for his own personal memories.” Nevertheless, not everyone was convinced by the actions. This was on the basis that people were benefiting from another person’s misery.
One person wrote: “Making money out of Johnny’s trauma? That’s sick. I’d rather look forward to his future projects thank you.” This will not be the first time nor the last that we see people making merchandise from high-profile cases. So there you have it folks.
