While there’s no doubt that 2020 has certainly been a difficult year for millions of people from all over the world because of the global pandemic that has been the coronavirus and of course, the economic downturn that has followed, Ellen DeGeneres is feeling some heat, too.
The daytime talk show host, who was once known as ‘The Queen of Nice’ is apparently anything but. Not only has her backstage crew slammed her for being cold and mean-spirited, but she’s also suffered some personal setbacks, too. Here’s what you need to know.
According to new reports, her home in Montecito estate was burglarized earlier this month. While it was earlier reported that Ellen and her wife Portia de Rossi were not home during the burglary, new reports now suggest otherwise.
The celebrity couple were home and apparently, they are also so terrified for their lives that they’ve beefed up their security. On Thursday, the Santa Barbara County Sherriff’s Office confirmed the news in a press release.
Ellen DeGeneres Is Worried About Her Security
“The residence appears to have been targeted due to the victim’s celebrity status,” the release states. “The exact description of the items that were taken is not available for release, but they are described as high-value jewelry and watches.”
The authorities on the scene added that an “extensive and ongoing” investigation is being conducted by “sheriff’s detectives and forensics technicians.”
Ellen hasn’t made any comments about the burglary, nor has she made any statements about the allegations that suggest her personality needs a fine-tuning.
However, an earlier report said that the producers of the Ellen DeGeneres show put the blame on themselves, when it comes to why there are so many unhappy employees that work on the show. We will definitely update you with all of the latest information once it comes in.
