Macaulay Culkin, best known as “the kid from Home Alone” is no longer a kid, and he’ll never be alone again. 40-year-old Macaulay Culkin made a hugely surprising announcement today- he and girlfriend Brenda Song welcomed a son last Monday, April 5!
Dakota Song Culkin was born at 1:10 p.m. in Los Angeles, weighing 6 lbs., 14 oz. The infant boy was named in honor of Macaulay’s sister Dakota who was struck by a car in Los Angeles in 2008. She died as a result.
Macaulay comes from a large family of 8 children, several of them working in Hollywood, either in front of cameras or behind the scenes.

Macaulay met ex-Disney star, Brenda, 33 on the Thailand set of the movie, Changeland. They were first romantically linked when spotted out in public in mid-2017. In a 2018 appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast The Joe Rogan experience, Macaulay was already talking about starting a family with Brenda.
“So I’m probably going to put some babies in her in a little bit,” he told host, Joe, laughing. “I mean, we’ve definitely been practicing.” He added, “I’m going to have some pretty babies. She’s Asian, so I’m gonna have tiny little Asian babies. It’s going to be adorable — a bunch of Sean Lennons running around the house, that’s what I’m looking for!”
As for Brenda, who came known to fans when starring in the Disney Channel’s Get a Clue and as socialite London Tipton in the Disney comedy series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, she once gushed about her boyfriend, and now father to her child to Esquire, saying, “You can’t be around him and not be happy.”
Esquire were the first to announce baby Dakota’s birth with the couple releasing only this statement to the magazine: “We’re overjoyed.”
Congratulations Brenda and Macaulay, but you did just make us all feel suddenly very old.
