‘Love in Paradise’ Spoilers tells that Steven and Martine’s relationship almost came to blows when a drinking game of Never Have I Ever (that Martine suggested) took a turn for the humiliating. After finding a suspicious text on Steven’s phone, all of his friends laughed derisively during one of the questions of the game, “Never have I ever cheated on my significant other”, and Steven took a drink, indicating that he had before.
Martine interpreted that as he was still cheating and walked off, she said she couldn’t be around him or his friends at the moment.
‘Love in Paradise’: Steven’s cheating scandal – the real story
Steven finally came out and told the real story of how the cheating happened. He said for the first five months that things were good between him and Martine, but that he didn’t have the love vibe. He was DJing and met some random girl and they had a mutual attraction to one another and hooked up. Afterwards, he realized that this wasn’t the girl for him and that he actually wanted Martine, so they ended things.
However, Steven didn’t exactly mention this to Martine and she didn’t discover what was going on until a year into their relationship when she discovered the texts on his phone, even though the fling had ended months prior, it was fresh heartache for Martine, that caused the trust issues.
Martine apologized for going through Steven’s phone and said she wouldn’t do it again but she says it’s hard to build back her trust once it’s been broken. She also says that part of her thinks that if she keeps that in the forefront of her mind, that she won’t be surprised if he cheats on her again.
So part of it is definitely to prevent herself from getting hurt. Another reason is that Martine says that she keeps thinking about the person that she wants to be in the future and what that person would say to her looking back, so is there some career and/or life goals that Martine wants to accomplish? It begs the question.
However, Steven has said that he’s trying to build back the trust, and he has been trying for two years, he doesn’t want to lose Martine and he’s willing to go the extra mile. However, will that mile be diamond clear? Stay tuned!!!
