The new 90 Day Fiancé spinoff, Love in Paradise: The Caribbean has viewers are speaking their mind about this new series. It is tropical-themed and looks like it would be filled with some amazing romance and love. Viewers have started saying much different though.
The show follows Americans that have now fallen in love with people from the islands of the Caribbean. Some of them are on vacation, while others are there for work. No matter what, they were there for love and now we have gotten just a little taste of it. There are plenty of reviews in and it seems as if some viewers are not on board with this show.
Love in Paradise: Feeling Gross
From the reviews that we have seen, many viewers have said that Love in Paradise is making them feel gross. The couples on the show may not be in the same place as some of the 90 Day Fiancé cast members, but there are some that want to work toward getting a K-1 visa for their new partner.
Some of them really want their partner to come to the states for love or for another reason, such as pregnancy! The end goal of the show is if they will continue on with their romance when they go home from their vacation. It is a big step for some, but for others, their partner will determine, by their actions, if they can truly trust them.
This summer show has been called a lot of words and Reddit users find it “icky.” Reddit was all aflutter with viewers commenting on the show. One wrote that it is “100% GROSS and seems to trivialize, exploit, and normalize sex tourism. It’s f*****g disgusting!” They also pointed out that some of the cast members took part in unprotected sex with their partner who happens to be an employee at the swinger’s resort!
Overall, the feel for the show is that it is very inappropriate and viewers feel pretty awful after watching it. There are some viewers that really loved it and with any show, we will find a balance of the love and hate.
