The tragic death of Aaron Carter hit the world of celebrities last weekend and his friends and family have started to open up more about his death. One of his ex-girlfriends, Lindsay Lohan shared her feelings with fans on Instagram this week.

Lindsay shared some pictures of herself with Aaron when they were dating. She captioned them, “My heart goes out to his family, and may he rest in peace. And God bless him… And yeah, just a lot of love there.” She also did an interview with Access Hollywood and shared more of what was on her mind.

She told them, So many memories from when I was so young, just that era of my life… and my prayers go out to his family, and may he rest in peace and God bless.” She did say that it had been a very long time since they spoke to one another. Lohan dated Carter right after he broke up with Hillary Duff. Lindsay and Carter dated from January 2002 to April 2003.
Carter had always talked about how he had some unresolved feelings for Duff and that was what made dating Lohan a little complicated. When Lohan and Carter broke up, she told fans, “Aaron and I are friends. That’s my past. It was, like, a few months ago, you know. He’s a cool guy. We’re friends. Hillary is a cute girl. I wish her the best.”
At the time of his death, Aaron had still been struggling with alcohol and drug abuse and his family mentioned some estranged relationships because of how he began to act when he was on drugs. His brother and sister both had restraining orders against him because he threatened to kill them and have their families killed as well.
He had a son as well and he was trying his best to work on getting clean. A source close to the family told the press, “Aaron worked very hard towards the end of his life in recovery, to be a good father, and to make amends with his family.”
There are still plenty of rumors going around about the exact way that he died, but we will continue to keep a close eye on this case to see what is revealed when all of the final testing is complete. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the Carter family during their time of need and healing.
