Lady Gaga is not here for your criticism. The chart topper recently clapped back at her critics and defended herself after she seemingly mocked rural Americans in a pro-Joe Biden campaign video that was released earlier this week. Here’s what you need to know.
Sharing a video that she posted on Twitter this weekend, Lady Gaga tried to drum up support with battleground state voters for Joe Biden in a new video. However, Lady Gaga quickly got ridiculed by her social media followers for trying to look like what one would describe as a “redneck.”

She said, “Hey, this is Lady Gaga. I’m voting for America, which means I’m voting for Joe Biden. And if you live in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, or Arizona, I encourage you to vote. Cheers to the 2020 election.”
Of course, it didn’t take very long for her critics to slam her video. One person wrote, “This is Lady Gaga trying to appeal to Middle America. HOW DO YOU DO FELLOW PICK-UP TRUCK OWNERS I LIKE BEER TOO,” while another said, “Real rednecks wouldn’t have wasted that perfectly good beer, Gaga. I speak from experience.”
During a campaign rally with Joe Biden in Pennsylvania on Monday, the singer made it clear that she can do what she wants, whenever she wants, simply because she is Lady Gaga.
“I put some country clothes on the other day and said I was voting for Joe because I wear Cabela’s [hunting gear] when I’m on a four-wheeler in Pennsylvania. And I will not be told what I can and cannot wear to endorse our future president,” she told the crowd at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Penn. “So this is what I have to say about that…I may not always look like you. But I am you. We are each other.
