King Charles had a successful procedure for an enlarged prostate, and Queen Camilla says that he is doing well after surgery.

The doctors admitted the King to the London Clinic, where Kate Middleton is recovering from abdominal surgery. He visited with her prior to having his procedure.

He remains in the hospital following treatment. It is not clear how extended his stay there will be.

    The Queen said,

    “He’s doing well, thank you.”

Charles had been diagnosed with a benign condition in mid-January after experiencing symptoms. His clinicians prompted the King to cancel engagements for the next several weeks.

Princess Catherine will not be able to attend royal engagements until Easter. Camilla went with Charles to the hospital to offer support.

The Palace issued a statement earlier this afternoon.

“The King was this morning admitted to a London hospital for scheduled treatment. His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.“

The King had announced that he was having problems with his prostate to try to urge other men to get their prostate checked. Early this morning, the King entered the London Clinic for his “corrective procedure.”

The Queen appeared to be in good spirits when she left. People outside the hospital shouted “We love you” to Queen Camilla as she exited the building.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak wished King Charles a full and speedy recovery. This wish comes to the King as Princess Catherine remains at the London Clinic post-surgery.

Kate Middleton and King Charles having surgery around the same time has been a scare for many people, mainly the Commonwealth of Britain.

Men 50 and Over Should Have Their Prostate Checked

The royal family usually keeps the state of their health private. The family does not necessarily want the press or the people to be involved.

The main reason for Charles to say anything about his procedure is to help educate other men to be diligent about their prostate health. However, Kate has not spoken about her condition.

Buckingham Palace’s statement was, “In common with thousands of men each year, the King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate.”

BPH, or Benign Prostate Hypertrophy, is common in older men and is not difficult to treat. It is essential to let your doctor know if you are experiencing any concerning symptoms that could be related to an enlarged prostate.

According to Penn Medicine, some of the symptoms include an

“inability to urinate, or dribbling at the end of urinating, straining to urinate, or a strong and sudden urge to urinate.”

Surgery is one of several possible treatments for the condition. It is the recommended treatment if you have

“recurring blood in the urine, urinary tract infections, bladder stones, or poor kidney function.”

Camilla has urged the King to slow down and care for himself, as he is known to be a “workaholic.” However, Camilla did say that

“The King is fine and looking forward to getting back to work.”

We all send best wishes to the King and the Princess of Wales for an easy and complete recovery.
