King Charles and Prince Harry will reunite after Harry’s Invictus Games Thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral next week.

Royal experts are wondering if the royal rift can be repaired after all. Harry said in his Good Morning America interview in February and said that he hopes his father’s cancer diagnosis has a unifying effect on his family.

Harry Appears To Be Making Moves To Reconcile with His Family

With the amount of damage Harry’s caused, it wouldn’t be surprising if the royal family never came back together, as he violated Queen Elizabeth’s express wishes and benefitted commercially from his family by trashing them in his tell-all book, “Spare.”

While his father may be willing to forgive him, Prince William is another story. William doesn’t trust Harry or Meghan Markle.

William, Kate, and their children, Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte, are also dealing with Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis.

The King and Harry are reportedly supposed to meet as soon as Charles’s diary permits. Harry probably won’t leave the US until after Tuesday, as he will want to spend May 6th with his son, Prince Archie, on his fifth birthday.

Harry appears to be making moves to reconcile with his family as the Sussexes attempt to work on their PR strategy separately and as a couple. They increased their communications team, which they previously wouldn’t consider.

    Richard Fitzwilliams

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams made a very realistic point asking who advised Harry when he wrote “Spare,” when he talked about how many people he killed in Afghanistan, his drug use, his issues with Camilla and William, or his frostbitten penis?

“This was someone who was simply doing his own thing and wasn’t paying attention to the essential part of public relations- the importance of your brand,”

    Fitzwilliams explained.

“This Is A New Era For The Royal Family”

The Duke also tried to obtain public-funded security for his family when he traveled to the UK. The High Court determined that since Harry was no longer a working royal. Therefore, he is not entitled to taxpayer-funded security when he visits Britain.

Harry also failed to persuade a different judge that he should be able to pay for London’s police force to protect him. A government lawyer said the UK officers should not be used as

    “private bodyguards for the wealthy.”

However, this was only Harry’s first attempt to appeal against the dismissal of his case. Harry said that he wants his children to feel safe on UK soil.

Meghan and the King ‘s grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, could join Harry on a future visit. They should pay for their security, though, as the Sussexes have millions of dollars at their disposal.

    Fitzwilliams said.

“The difficulty they now have is that they have to be trusted if they are going to build or rebuild bridges because I don’t think members of the royal family will trust the Sussexes. This is a new era for the royal family, and it only makes sense, both in the short and the long term, that the rift is mended.”

When it comes to reconciling with his father, brother, and sister-in-law, Harry will need to take it one step at a time.
