The gala is an event held annually, which showcases the biggest names in entertainment who come together with their outlandish fashion statements. While Kim has confirmed that she will be attending herself, she remained very coy over Pete attending.
That is not to say that he will not be attending, but rather, her comments were designed to build up the anticipation. In an interview with Access Hollywood, she said: “I’m not sure [if I will come with Pete]. You’re going to have to wait and find out. We’re still figuring it out.”
In reality, there is a significant chance that Pete will attend for the following reasons. First of all, the gala sees celebrity couples coming together as a pair. And given that the duo’s relationship is in a really good place, it would make sense for them to attend.
Not only that, but it would give some extra publicity and promotion to Kim’s clothing line that she will most likely be wearing. Secondly, Pete has already accompanied Kim on the red carpet. This was most notably seen during the recent premiere of the Kardashians new reality show entitled ‘The Kardashians.’
And as that appearance went down very well with the fans, there is no reason why they cannot do the same once again. The fans on social media had a lot to say about this. A significant proportion of people felt that Kim’s comments were designed to build up more clout.
Meanwhile, others were of the view that the pair had already decided to attend but wanted to keep the announcement secret in order to plan on wearing something big and bold. One person wrote: “Of course she is. Hello or and publicity,” while another person stated: “For ratings she will bring him and film it.”
