Kim Kardashian has opened up on what led her to finally decide to break up with Kanye West.

Prior to their separation, their relationship was dogged by various controversies which included Kanye having many outbursts.
This included a public admission by Kanye that Kim was trying to get him locked up in a mental institution, coupled with the fact that the rapper had a public breakdown during his presidential campaign run, when he spoke about how he was considering aborting his daughter North.
Naturally, that environment was not the best place for their children and looking back, Kim decided to do what was best for her. During an interview with Vogue, Kim said: “I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy.
“And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself.”
By the sounds of it, Kim made the right decision. Just recently, Kim and Kanye had been engaged in verbal shots on social media after the rapper had disagreed with Kim’s approach towards co-parenting.
So much so that Kanye stressed how he disapproved of Kim’s decision to allow North to go on TikTok, as well as claims that he was prevented from taking his children to a basketball game in Chicago.
Although Kim did defend herself, the very fact of the matter is that the whole incident created tension between the pair. But that is not something that is getting her down.
She added: “You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be ‘Your dad’s the best. Make sure you are your co-parent’s biggest cheerleader, no matter what you’re personally going through.”
As long as Kim and Kanye’s problems are kept away from the kids, then that will allow the pair to have a stable environment where the children can grow up.
