Kelly Clarkson made a name for herself in the music world when she took American Idol by storm. After making album after album, her daytime talk show was picked up, and her fans praised her for being talented in many areas.
However, some of the staff members on The Kelly Clarkson Show have commented that working for her is toxic. One of her staff members even told the press that how she treats the staff is “unacceptable.” Now Kelly is clapping back at these allegations.
Clarkson Responds
Not only did one staff member make that claim, but others have come forward claiming to be “overworked” and “underpaid”. They also added that “working at the show was traumatizing to their mental health.” Clarkson took to Instagram to make her official statement.

She wrote, “In my 20 years in the entertainment industry, I’ve always led with my heart and what I believed to be right. I love my team at The Kelly Clarkson Show, and to find out that anyone is feeling unheard or disrespected on this show is unacceptable.”
She went on, “I have always been, and will continue to be, committed to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment at The Kelly Clarkson Show.
As we prepare for a move to the East Coast, I am more committed than ever to ensuring that not only our team that is moving but also our new team in NY, is comprised of the best and kindest in the business.”
She finished by saying, ” Part of that build will include leadership training for all of the senior staff, including myself. There is always room to grow and ensure we are all being/becoming the best versions of ourselves in any business, especially when it comes to leadership. To ensure that any notion of toxicity is eradicated.”
Kelly did have some other former employees come out and say that she was one of the best people that they ever worked for. There were others that came out and made claims that the producer of the show, Alex Duda, was a “monster.
After these employees came out about Kelly, her team and the network are doing some intense investigations. These claims are pretty big and Clarkson is clearly upset that anyone on her team would feel this way. Her fans hope that things can get solved and that these employees will get the answers that they are looking for.
