The surprise video message Prince William and Kate Middleton released to congratulate Britain’s Olympic participants this weekend was exactly what royal fans needed.
William And Kate Congratulated Britain’s Olympic Participants
William and Kate looked refreshed and relaxed as the Princess of Wales led the couple in their congratulatory message,
“Congratulations to Team GB.”
The Prince of Wales debuted his rugged-looking beard as he said,
“Well done on all you have achieved; you’ve been an inspiration to us all.”
It was uplifting and inspiring to see Kate looking so well, and she and William looked so happy together. Kate, who revealed in a brave video message back in March that she was diagnosed with cancer, was practically beaming.
She’s been through a lot this year and still has much to overcome. Kate is recovering from cancer treatment, and her return to her public duties will be gradual, but rest assured, Kate isn’t done fighting.
While resting, she’s been working independently on initiatives and causes close to her heart. One in particular is her continued work at the Royal Foundation Centre of Early Development. No one would ever call her unmotivated.
Prior to making the announcement about her health, she had to contend with online bullying from those who judged her Mother’s Day picture for being doctored. Kate enjoys taking and editing family photos and should be allowed to do so without fear of ridicule.
No one was aware she was receiving cancer treatment at the time, but those same bullies behind the keyboard who taunted and berated Kate, claiming that the royals could not be trusted, were quick to put their foot in their mouths and apologize.
Kate Middleton And Prince William Are A Team
There was also “Kategate,” the massive worldwide Where’s Waldo search for Kate, who had disappeared from the public eye. No one even considered for a moment that it was not their right to know where she was or what she was doing.
Kate’s first royal appearance since Christmas was at Trooping the Color in June. Of course, Meghan Markle took the opportunity to try to outshine the Princess. She introduced (wait for it) jam and dog biscuits for her new American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand.
Everyone knew what Meghan was attempting to do, as the Duchess can’t stand when someone else garners attention, especially not Kate. But there Kate stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
She was the epitome of class, not wanting to take the attention away from her father-in-law, King Charles. She radiated strength and perfectly played her role in the King’s birthday celebration.
Her second appearance was another triumph. In July, she attended Wimbledon for the men’s final to present the winning trophy to Carlos Alcaraz from Spain. Her fans greeted her at the event with a standing ovation.
Kate Middleton has shown she’s not going to let her illness get her down, but that doesn’t stop online trolls from making unkind comments about her. Kate hides her suffering well, but she’s been through hell, and so has William.
An inside source said about William and Kate:
“They’ve always been a team, and what they have been through this year has only cemented that.”
