It looks like the British Royal Family doesn’t want to take any chances. There’s a new report that says Kate Middleton must self-isolate after she was exposed to someone with Covid-19 even though she’s already fully vaccinated. Here’s what you need to know.
The Duchess of Cambridge was forced to clear her entire calendar for the next 10 days after she was in contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid-19. This means the Duchess won’t be on hand for the events honoring the 73rd anniversary of Britain’s National Health Service.
Kate Middleton Forced To Isolate After Covid-19 Exposure Despite Vaccination
“Last week the Duchess of Cambridge came into contact with someone who has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19,” a spokesperson for the palace said.
“Her Royal Highness is not experiencing any symptoms, but is following all relevant government guidelines and is self-isolating at home.”
Kate Middleton got her first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine back in May, and one week after her husband Prince William got his.
Kensington Palace shared a photo of the Duchess getting her shot on its official social media accounts and captioned it with a message from Katethat said, “Yesterday I received my first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at London’s Science Museum. I’m hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout – thank you for everything you are doing.”
Prince William also received his shot at London’s Science Museum, one of the biggest vaccination centers in all of the UK. Back in February, Prince William’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth said that she wants people to stop being selfish and get the Covid-19vaccine.
In a video call with health leaders delivering the Covid vaccine across the UK, the Queen was asked about her own Covid-19 vaccine experience.
She likened the community spirit to get vaccinations done to the experience of the country during World War II. The Queen, who rarely talks about her own health, added: “It didn’t hurt at all.”
