Kate Middleton and the royal family greeted the adoring crowds today at Sandringham during their Christmas walkabout.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie Demonstrated a United Front
Of course, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, weren’t invited and will never be invited again after their scandal involving known sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
However, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie showed a unified front as they attended the royal family Christmas festivities.
The attendance of Beatrice and Eugenie demonstrated support for the monarch, despite their mother and father being banned from the royal family’s Christmas.
The Princess of Wales delighted well-wishers as she wore a sophisticated brown tweed coat, a silk scarf, and a matching hat.
The royals attended an hour-long church service before gathering for Christmas lunch hosted by King Charles.
Adorable photos showed Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis waving hello to the crowd, with Prince George not far behind his sister and brother.
As usual, Louise stole the show when he playfully snatched a giant Lindt chocolate gift from his father, Prince William, after hearing the treat was meant for him.
The royal well-wishers braved temperatures close to freezing, as they were all piled up outside, wrapped in blankets and oversized coats.
Other royal family members who joined the King for the Christmas walkabout included Prince Edward, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and their children, James Viscount Severn, and Lady Louise.
Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, and their daughter, Zara Tindall, were also included.
Plus, Zara’s husband, Mike Tindall, and their three children, Mia, Lena, and Lucas. The royal family’s church service this morning included several renditions of spirited Christmas carols.
Some well-wishers made positive remarks about Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s presence during the royal family’s annual Christmas tradition.
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson are Officially Off the Royal Family’s Guest List
Hilary Marsh, who was meeting with the royals, said,
“It’s only right that Beatrice and Eugenie are there” and called them “marvelous girls.”
She continued,
“They’ve done nothing wrong, and it must be quite hard for them with everything that’s going on.”
Others also commented that they were happy the two Princesses made an appearance, saying that the family acted in the “right way” and “with some dignity” regarding the King’s younger brother, Andrew.
They pointed out that the focus should be on Christmas and the King and Queen, not on the former Duke of York, as he’s a disgrace to the royal family.
Eugenie was also accompanied by her husband, Jack Brooksbank, while Beatrice was with her husband, Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi.
King Charles knows the Princesses are not “guilty by association.” He adores his two nieces and protected them during their parents’ exile from the royal family.
The appearance of Beatrice and Eugenie at the royal family’s Christmas tradition comes after they were unable to attend Kate Middleton’s Christmas carol concert at the start of December.
Royal sources also claimed Kate’s invitation moved the sisters, but they were obligated to their previous engagements.
Speaking of Kate and William, they have made it clear they don’t want to live close to Andrew and Fergie, as they recently moved to Forest Lodge in Windsor, from their former home at Adelaide Cottage.
Andrew and Sarah Ferguson currently live at Royal Lodge, but are expected to move out shortly after the new year.
