Kara Keough has announced the birth of her newborn boy, which follows a year after her son McCoy’s death.

In a post to her fans on Instagram, we can see a picture of Vaughn as he is sleeping soundly. The post was captioned with the following comments: “The day McCoy was born, I started writing a story. Our story. I don’t typically like to spoil the ending, but in this case, the ending is a new beginning. Introducing Decker and McCoy’s baby brother. Vaughn Mack Bosworth.”
The news of the baby was a shock, given Kara had only announced her pregnancy a week ago. But it seems she had a secret birth in order to avoid the media intrusion that would have followed. This was entirely understandable because of what she has been through. With that in mind, the star had been going through an emotional time of late, as the first anniversary of McCoy’s death had approached.
In order to commemorate him, Kara held an emotional tribute during Easter to remember what could have been, had McCoy been alive. In a previous Instagram picture, we can see a basket, an easter bunny, some eggs and a book. The post was captioned with the following comments: “Last Easter was the worst night of my life. We held our firstborn son in our arms as he took his final breaths. We spent time in the hell that is watching your child die.”
But with the birth of a new child, Kara has an opportunity to finally heal. She also had to deal with the passing her father, who she was very close too. Sadly, he will not be here to witness his grandson but Kara has a chance to remember him through Vaughn. And that is precisely what she intends to do, as she outlined over Easter.
She added: “This Easter is decidedly better. Despite that wretched Easter night, I can’t ignore that this day also represents rebirth. Renewed hope.” Let us hope Kara can continue to make happy memories in the future. McCoy will never be forgotten, but now she has some positive news to focus on.
