Justin Timberlake is NOT happy about how Britney Spears portrayed him in her memoir, “The Woman in Me.” Britney dropped some significant bombshells in her book.
The biggest one is that Justin encouraged her to have an abortion in 2000. At that time, he didn’t want to be a father. Britney also claims that he cheated on her repeatedly.
Justin also ended their three-year relationship in a two-word text: “It’s over.” The book doesn’t paint him in a very flattering light. Justin is reportedly very p****ed off.
Justin May Be Thinking About Contacting Britney
Timberlake has not yet contacted Spears about the memoir, but rumors are swirling that he is thinking about it. The memoir couldn’t have come at a worse time for Justin. He could not enjoy his wedding anniversary to his wife, Jessica Biel—the stress of being ostracized by Britney’s fans and the media was too much for him.
Justin and Jessica were married in October 2012, and this past wedding anniversary was their eleventh. The two of them share two sons, Silas and Phineas.
The NSYNC frontman thought Britney might talk about their relationship more broadly. He never thought she would reveal all their most private details for the whole world to know.
A source close to Justin says, “He’s disappointed she went this route decades after they split up.” Another source claims that Timberlake isn’t speaking up because he doesn’t want to get in the way of Britney telling her story.
That same source also claims that Justin wants to contact the “Toxic” singer to see if she wants to “Talk things out.” He wants to see if there is anything he can do.
Jessica reportedly knew about Britney’s abortion before the book came out. She feels empathy for Britney for having had to go through that.
Justin Timberlake is Not Happy, and Britney Doesn’t Care
Justin is unhappy about Britney revealing their secrets in her book. Writing this book has given Britney the healing and closure she has needed for years, and she doesn’t care who is offended by her truth.
Spears and Timberlake socialized from 1999 to 2002. After he broke up with her, he wrote “Cry Me a River.” With the song and the music video, he turned his fans against the “I’m a Slave for You” singer and made Britney look like a “Harlot who had broken the heart of America’s golden boy.”
After Justin and Britney’s breakup, Timberlake trash-talked Spears to the media and vilified her to anyone who would listen. He has reportedly since apologized to Britney and tried to make amends.
It should not come as a shock that Britney would want to tell her side of the story and clear things up. She wants people to know the truth that she was too afraid to speak back then.
The “Rock Your Body” singer believed that the secret abortion would remain a secret forever and that neither one of them would ever speak about it. That’s the main reason they did it at home, to keep it private.
Unfortunately, something like that can tend to weigh on a woman, and she probably never healed emotionally from that tragic experience. Hopefully, now she has.
