Joy Behar, who is the host of The View, has apologised for referring to Caitlyn Jenner by the wrong pronoun.
Joy Behar Addresses Caitlyn Jenner With The Wrong PRONOUN Causing Huge Uproar!!
Caitlyn, for her part, made the transition to becoming a legally recognised woman in 2015. She has, since then, declared her intention to run for Governor of California. And that sparked off a conversation in which Joy got herself into some bother. She had commented: “He’s got this guy Brad Parscale running his campaign…I mean, that guy was accused of using campaign funds to enrich himself.
“I think that he should — she, rather — should take a seat and let somebody with the credentials take over a major state like California.” Naturally, fans on social media went into a meltdown for Joy’s carelessness. As a result, she sought to cool things down immediately by issuing a formal apology. She responded: “So first of all, let me apologise for my pronoun mix-up. I had no intention of mixing them up…I’m sorry if anybody was upset by that.”
The uproar should not divert any attention away from Caitlyn’s desire to run for Governor. Although the chances of it occurring are minuscule, that does not mean that it cannot happen. We only have to look at the past. Jesse Ventura, who was known for being a Navy Seal/wrestler, managed to pull off the impossible as he became the Governor of Minnesota.
And Caitlyn will push hard to achieve her dreams. In a previous post to her fans on Instagram, she remarked: “I’m in! California is worth fighting for. The significance of this decision is not lost on me. The sacrifice is significant, but the responsibility is great, and I can’t wait to lead, to help and most importantly, to disrupt the status quo once again. I’m in!”
Although an apology has been given, it has not stopped the drama from ensuing. Rumours began to emerge that Joy should be cancelled in the same manner as Sharon Osbourne. While there are no plans for that to happen yet, it did not look like that for Sharon too. And yet, the unthinkable happened as she departed from The Talk.
