Netflix series, along with HBO and Hulu have become some of the biggest “television” shows ever. With the switch to streaming platforms in full swing, regular television channels have been slowly dwindling, and their content has begun to suffer.

In the meantime, Netflix has had shows like ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ and ‘Cobra Kai’, and Disney Plus has ‘The Mandalorian’. These are considered some of the best ‘television’ in recent memory and continue to climb in popularity.

Joe Rogan acknowledged how incredible these shows are getting and made a post on Instagram explaining how good ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ is, and he’s only two episodes in. Take a look at his caption below or use the link to see his full post.

“The Queen’s Gambit on @netflix is really good. Just finished episode 2. It’s kind of amazing how good television shows are now. It used to be the movies were the really interesting, intelligent things to watch, and television was always kinda second rate. There were good shows, but they were never quite as good as films. Now, however, it’s the opposite. These new streaming shows are like watching a great movie that goes on for 7 or more hours. Movies can still be great, but even great ones seem limited by the time constraints of a single film that has to wrap up in a few hours.”

Netflix’s ‘The Queen’s Gambit‘ is “set during the Cold War era, orphaned chess prodigy Beth Harmon struggles with addiction in a quest to become the greatest chess player in the world.”

Fans and viewers seemed to agree with Rogan, “Best tv show I’ve seen in a while! So well filmed!!“, “Just started it tonight, it’s really good, that is true movies are mostly just remakes, sequels and superheroes, TV has got the better quality stories going on now” and “Totally agree Joe ‼️ very great show“.

We look forward to seeing what the next big show from streaming will be, and there are plenty of options.
