Science continues to grow and get crazier by the day. Now, complete limb regeneration is not far out of reality, and now scientists have been able to create a self-assembling gel that stimulates nerve regeneration. It has shown promise to even treat paralysis in mice!
We are not far from making this a reality in humans, and one day, paralyzed people may be able to walk once more.
Rogan shared a screengrab of the article headline and sub-headline that was published on November 11th by Carissa Wong.
“Spinal cord regeneration could one day be a real thing for humans. Limb regeneration is probably going to be a reality one day too. The question is, does it happen before or after they develop synthetic limbs that are superior to biological ones? Artificial Intelligence and the rise of a sentient, completely manufactured, super-intelligent life form are a huge threat to the human race, but I think humans merging with technology and becoming cyborgs might just happen before that.
We all fear change, especially radical, completely transformative change, but it seems pretty likely that this is going to happen.”

Andrew Huberman also commented on the post thanking Rogan for sharing is and that recovery of motor function in paralyzed humans is going to happen. It’s just a matter of time and getting it down to an exact data.
Of course, Joe also weighed the idea of synthetic limbs, and why folks would regrow biological ones if synthetic ones were better. While that may even seem out of the realm of possibility, it’s really not. Studies like this are coming out all the time, and this shows the most promise so far!
Could we really see a gel injected into a human’s spinal column and have it heal their paralysis in our lifetime? It certainly seems so!
