Ronnie Ortiz-Magro of MTV’s Jersey Shore and Celebrity Fear Factor fame was arrested on Thursday, April 22, on domestic violence charges. He has since been released on a $100,000 bond.
This is the second domestic violence arrest for Ronnie, however, this newer incident did not involve his ex and mother of his child, Jenn Harley but rather his current girlfriend, Saffire Matos.
Thursday’s arrest booking fell under intimate partner violence with injury with priors. Intimate partner violence is described by the CDC as physical violence, sexual violence, stalking, or psychological harm by a current or former partner or spouse.

The ‘priors’ part of the charge refers to his previous arrest in October 2019 after an alleged domestic dispute with Jenn with their toddler present.
Despite pleading not guilty, Ronnie was charged with seven misdemeanors, including domestic violence, child endangerment, brandishing a weapon, criminal threats, false imprisonment and two counts of resisting arrest.
The reality star’s lawyers, Scott E. Leemon and Leonard Levine made a vague statement on the incident, which happened during the reality star’s 3 year probation- a result of his priors, saying, “We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate. As such, we will not be making any other statements at this time.”
Apparently it was 35 year old Ronnie’s week with his three year old daughter, Ariana but after his arrest, the little girl was “put in safe hands”. This turned out to be her uncle (Jenn’s bother). Jenn was in Las Vegas at the time but raced back to Los Angeles to be with and comfort the estranged couple’s distraught daughter.
If convicted, Ronnie could be facing jailtime but he certainly wont be the first Jersey Shore star to be locked up. Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorentino completed an 8 moth sentence in prison for tax fraud.
