Surrreeeee. Insiders say that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are just ‘friends’ despite their turbulent history of being one of the most photographed and gossiped about couples in the past.
Even though the Hollywood actor was spotted making several trips to Jennifer’s mansion this past weekend, sources say that the exes are nothing more than friends. Here’s what you need to know.
Jennifer Lopez seems to already be on the prowl, even though it’s only been one hot minute since she broke up with her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez. You’d think that the multi-talented actress and singer would take some time off from her dating life to date herself, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Are ‘Just Friends’
In fact, everyone wants to know that out of all the men in her life, why it was Ben Affleck who she happened to want company from the most this past weekend.
One source close to the situation told ET Online that Jen and Ben – or Bennifer 1.0 – “are friends and have a cordial, good relationship.”
“They obviously have a romantic history, but at this point they only have a friendship,” the source says. “They both admire each other professionally, respect one another and feel comfortable with each other.”
Additionally, a second source tells ET: “Jennifer and Ben have seen each other a few times since her breakup with Alex. Jen and Ben have remained friends over the years and the two are still just that – friends.”
So far neither Ben Affleck nor Jennifer Lopez have made any comments about the speculation, but that hasn’t stopped fans from wondering what is really going on.
The exes got engaged in 2002 but pulled the plug on their relationship in 2004. Ben ended up marrying Jennifer Garner and having three kids while Jennifer Lopez moved on with Marc Anthony. She shares two children with the singer.
