She’s Jenny from the Block and she don’t play. Jennifer Lopez was recently forced to defend herself from a troll who suggested that she had “tons of Botox” done on her face. The multi-talented and actress wasted no time in clapping back at the online user while also confirming once again that she has, in fact, never had Botox done on her face. Here’s what you need to know.
Jennifer shared a short clip of her wrinkle-free face to help promote her new skincare company, JLo beauty. Many commenters, including Instagram user @suekimstagram, promptly accused the 51-year-old pop diva of having “tons of Botox.”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for Jennifer to clap back with, “LOL that’s just my face! For the 500 millionth time, I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery!”
In addition, Jennifer said that she is indeed “real” as she’s never had Botox to this day. She made her comments while promoting her first-ever beauty brand with beauty editors.
“I’m not that person. I don’t have anything against people doing that; it’s just not my thing. I’m more about a natural approach to skincare … but I want [my products] to work. I want the hyaluronic acid in there. I want the things that are going to help, because I don’t want to have to go to the needles at some point. I’m not saying one day I won’t, but I haven’t yet.”
With that said though, Jennifer said that early in her career she did have a boyfriend that tried to encourage her to get Botox.
“I was in my 20s and I was dating this guy,” she recalled. “He went to one dermatologist and I went to another dermatologist. Basically, my dermatologist gave me a great cleanser and some sunscreen and said, ‘If you do this from now on, your skin is healthy, you’re young right now, it’s going to be great.’”
The JLo Beauty founder went on to say, “I didn’t like needles anyway, but the boyfriend’s like, ‘Yeah, you should start it. I do that.’ I was like, ‘No, thank you.’ And I just wonder what would’ve happened to me if I would’ve started Botox at 23, what I would look like right now. My face would be a totally different face today.”
