Jana was the last of the Duggar daughters to remain unwed and there were rumors for years that she was a lesbian. The rumors began to spread that she was engaged when she appeared on social media after being quiet for years.

Duggar Family News: The Wedding
Jana is the oldest daughter in the Duggar family at 34 years old. She married Stephen, who is 31 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas on August 15. The two of them got engaged on June 15 and had been courting for quite some time, according to the family.
At their wedding, there were about 500 guests. Jana’s bridesmaid included, Jessa Seewald, Abbie Duggar, Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Vuolo, and Jordyn Duggar. She told her fans, “I think it is one of those things that all girls envision someday. For me, it felt like, ‘Okay, it’s never coming.’ But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I’m like, ‘Wow, this is truly something that I’ve dreamed of.’ And just to see it coming about is incredible and kind of hard to believe. It’s a dream come true.” Jana’s father, Jim Bob Duggar walked her down the aisle in a beautiful, satin wedding gown.
Duggar Family News: The Family’s Connect
Wissman and Duggar both come from extremely large and conservative families. Stephen is one of 13 siblings and Jana and her siblings were known as one of the largest families on TLC, when their shows, 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On were on the television. Jana added, “Coming from two bigger families, we love to be able to get together and celebrate moments like these. And so to have all of them there, it just means a lot.”
Jana and Stephen dated for a few years and then decided to break things off. They were always friends though and were in constant contact. They reconnected a few years ago and Jana’s brother, Jeremiah Duggar married Stephen’s sister, Hannah Wissmann. The two of them admitted that they enjoy being together and it just seemed right that they get married and spend the rest of their lives together.
