Jamie Watson, who happens to be the husband of Jamie Lynn Spears, has come out and backed Britney Spears in light of her statement made in response to her conservatorship battle.
Jamie Watson Is Fully Behind Britney Spears
Britney finally confirmed what many had been thinking when she stated how her father, Jamie Spears, had been treating her. One revelation included a prohibition on her marrying her boyfriend Sam Asghari as well as being prevented from having any kids with him.
Jamie, in response, backed Britney to the hilt. He has been largely on good terms with Britney, partly due to the fact that his marriage to her sister has been going so well. And now it seems Britney can count on him too. In an interview with The New York Post, Jamie said: “I can assure you her family loves her and wants the best for her. I wouldn’t be around people who weren’t. Who wouldn’t want to be in support of Britney?”
This is the latest person who has come out and supported Britney’s cause. Her fellow friend Paris Hilton also expressed her best for Britney, despite the latter making some negative comments which questioned whether Paris’ own account of abuse had, in fact, occurred.
This momentum is only going to increase the influence of the #FreeBritneymovement that has continued to gather momentum. And Britney’s own comments have only strengthened the cause. In an official statement, she told the judge: “I haven’t done anything in the world to deserve this treatment. It’s not OK to force me to do anything I don’t want to do. I’ve lied and told the whole world I’m OK, and I’m happy. … I’m not OK, I’m not happy, I can’t sleep.”
Britney has always stressed that she wants to lead a life of independence. Given that she seems to be fully aware of what she wants, it is only going to strengthen her case.
She has already made a drastic career decision and confirmed she would not return to her singing as long as her father was in charge of her estate. Something has to give, and given what we have seen so far, it does not look very good for Britney’s father.
