Jamie Lynn Spears’ life would have looked much different if she would have won the leading role for the massively popular film franchise, Twilight. Britney Spears’ little sister, however, says that she was literally forced to go to the audition for the movie, and that’s where she happened to find out that she was pregnant for the first time.
Speaking to Nylon in a new interview, Jamie Lynn opened up about her teen mom experience and how she was so shocked about her pregnancy that she couldn’t even tell her parents. She also said that her audition for Twilight was anything but memorable.

“They had to force me. Force me,” she reiterates. “I remember just thinking like, ‘Y’all are insane. I’m not playing a vampire. That is so stupid. Why would I do that?’ But I went and read for that role. I remember sitting in this little room, and I think Lily Collins was there, and I felt so sick. Little did I know, I was pregnant.”
Jamie Lynn gave birth in 2008 but split with her baby daddy Casey Aldridge two years later. She then married Jamie Watson in 2014 and gave birth to her second daughter, Ivey, in 2018.
“You have your first love, or what you call love in high school. You think it’s forever, and then, oh my gosh, I’m pregnant. I am mortified to have to tell my parents this and my family this. I do not care what TMZ thinks about it,” she says.
