With Kate Middleton in quarantine because she was exposed to someone with Covid-19, a lot of people can’t help but wonder what’s really going on with the Duchess of Cambridge.
After all, many keen royal observers and critics have noticed that Kate has certainly been keeping her distance from her husband Prince William at both royal engagements and public appearances lately.
Even though the Duchess is fully vaccinated, reports say that she will have to quarantine for 10 full days and of course, cancel everything in her calendar. This is prompting a lot of people to ask: what is really going on behind the scenes? Here’s what you need to know.
Is Kate Middleton Trying To Keep Her Distance From Prince William?
The Duchess of Cambridge was forced to clear her entire calendar for the next 10 days after she was in contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid-19. This means the Duchess won’t be on hand for the events honoring the 73rd anniversary of Britain’s National Health Service.
“Last week the Duchess of Cambridge came into contact with someone who has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19,” a spokesperson for the palace said.
But for a lot of royal fans, something just isn’t adding up. If Kate Middleton is fully vaccinated, then why does she have to quarantine?
And better yet, why hasn’t the palace said anything about where she was exposed to Covid-19? Kate Middleton has been in attendance at Wimbledon this past week, but there are no reports that says anyone else has had to quarantine before or after the matches.
Of course, it didn’t take very long for critics to weigh in on the matter on social media. Some have added comments such as, “Something in this story isn’t adding up though. KP says she’s had both jabs now even though the first one which was publicized was 5 weeks ago& in U.K meant to be 12 weeks wait approx although it was sped up for older or vulnerable people. So has she jumped queue which is what I always assumed for the royals & was surprise when they promoted their shots.”
Another critic wrote, “Anyone believing this nonsense is a gullible as hell. They’re on the outs and William doesn’t want to be around her. I say William because the Middleton PR is always desperately trying to solidify Kate’s place beside him. William threw a tantrum and their staff threw together this covid ridiculousness which doesn’t even make a lick of sense. They have a history of lying about illness with her in order to get people to want to be polite and not ask questions.”
