It’s been 30 years since the debut of the highly-rated and unforgettable high school soap drama Beverly Hills 90210, but according to Ian Ziering, he’s as close as he can be with his co-stars. The actor recently opened up about his relationship with a few of them, who he still keeps up with on a daily basis. Here’s what he has to say.
As many fans know, Beverly Hills 90210 was one of the most talked about series when it first debuted back in 1990. Along with Ian, the series starred Jennie Garth, Jason Priestly, Shannen Doherty, Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green, and Luke Perry, who passed away back in 2019.
Ian Ziering Says He’s Still Close To His Beverly Hills 90210 Co-Stars
According to Page Six, Ian had nothing but positive things to say about his co-star and fellow parent, Tori Spelling. “She does a great job at it. It’s got to be the hardest job in the world, even just one kid,” he said of Spelling, who played Donna Martin. “I can’t imagine how difficult it would be with five, but she has plenty of room in her heart to make that happen.”
The actor also said that he’s still very close with Shannen Doherty, who is currently battling Stage 4 cancer. “Shannen’s strong. It’s like nothing’s going on. I know she’s dealing with some adversity right now, but I also know that Shannen’s not going to sleep on it,” Ziering told Page Six of the 49-year-old. “She’s going to have her finger on the heartbeat and the cutting edge of science. She’s diligent about whatever she needs to do to make sure she stays in fantastic health.”
“Shannen has proved herself to be a fighter on many fronts,” Ziering said, “So I’m confident she’ll continue fighting.”
